It doesn't work if I want to submit my refund by paying with my federal taxes.
Are you referring to preparing your return through a special Fidelity link that offers the discount as an affiliate partner with TurboTax? Or did you have an actual promo code to enter manually?
In any case, do you realize that if you choose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, there is an extra $40 service fee ($45 for California filers?) Is that the increase in fee that you are seeing when you try to use that payment option? You'll save money by paying upfront with credit/debit card, or a prepaid debit card you can buy in a store.
I used the link from fidelity. I've tried to clear my settings in my browser but no luck. That makes sense what you said about saving money paying up front. Maybe I will just do that instead. Thanks!
