My adult 32 year old son who has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Multiple Personality Disorder, ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, and Major Depressive Disorder lives with me and I support him 100 %, and have for the past 27 years. I have claimed him as a dependent for 31 years. His father died when he was 5.
This year is the first year I am encountering trouble. The IRS has requested I use an IP Pin for myself, (WHICH I GOT) and for my son (I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET). They (IRS) has rejected my return for this reason. My son is incapable of obtaining an IP Pin on his own. What do I do?
Please help if you can. We are on a very limited income and really need the refund.

The IP Pin is different than the 5-digit signature Pin. Additionally, the IP Pin will change each and every year. This is an Identity Protection Pin.
You can get an Identity Protection pin here, or if you lost your IP PIN, you can go here to Retrieve IP PIN.
