Keep checking, the IRS should collect payment once the return has been accepted.
In the event that the funds are not taken, there are additional options to pay. For more details, see: How can I pay my federal taxes?
My 2020 Federal Return was Accepted and my tax payment has not yet been debited from bank account. It has been 5 days since it was accepted. How long should I keep checking until the tax payment has been debited?
You were able to select the date that the balance due got taken out. You can view your balance and payment activity on the IRS Paying Your Taxes site. Please be aware, this year you have time to pay your balance due until May 17. If it hasn't been taken out by May 16, then you have the option to pay the amount due online at the IRS Paying Your Taxes site.
Thank you for your help. The IRS took it out of my account and all is good.
My taxes were approved on the 11th. I completed my bank information to make payment. I don't recall selecting a date. Is there a way I can look up that my bank information was used to make payment and when payment will be made?
If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return. It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment. If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:

To get back into your return after printing or e-filing, please follow these steps:
In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
You should be on your Tax Home page.
Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).
Once you're in your return, you can navigate around as usual.
Click Tax Tools (in the black bar on the left of your screen) and then click select Print Center.
Click Print, save or preview this year's return
TurboTax CD/Download
Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.
In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst. [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.] The form will appear on the right side of the screen.
You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen.
To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
It doesn't say anything. I see my bank information in the refund box, but nothing in the amount I owe. The amount I owe does not match the amount on the payment slip. 1. Does that mean turbotax did not utilize my bank information to pay? 2. Do i owe the amount in the box or on the slip?
Does the "slip" have 1040ES on the top of the form? If so that is quarterly estimated taxes for 2021. The box on your 1040 that says amount due is your taxes for 2020.
Ok, so if there is no payment information or date in my Amount Owed section, should I assume that my bank information didn't populate and I need to schedule a payment to IRS?
I would say yes.
