There is no physical signature on a tax return that you e-filed. You "signed" it electronically by entering your AGI or PIN. If a lender or someone needs a "signed" copy then print your return, take out a pen and sign your Form 1040 on page 2 next to the words "Sign here" to keep them happy. Millions of taxpayers e-file their tax returns--sadly, there are a lot of loan officers, university financial aid folks, etc. who are so behind the times they still think the return has to have an actual signature on it.

Your self-select PIN does not appear anywhere on a printed or PDF copy of your tax return. There is no place for it on the form. Do not give your self-select PIN to anyone. That would be an invitation to identity theft. It would allow them to file a tax return in your name.
