How do I get an updated 8962 form?

your using online it should be in TT or are you asking about forn 1095-A which is used to complete 8962.  if so go to the marketplace website

I used turbo tax online. And yes I had to find my 1095a and then complete a new 8962 form.. the irs sent me a letter saying they didn’t get the info from the 1095 and want me to send them both those forms.. but they didn’t mention anything about amending my taxes so I’m not sure how to get a updated 8962 form

You can add the form by logging into TurboTax, click on Add a State, and follow the steps below. This will create the Form 8962 without amending.

If you purchased insurance through the marketplace and received a 1095-A, that must still be reported on your return.This will calculate the Net Premium Tax Credit on Form 8962. This form reconciles the amount of the credit available to you with the amount already received as an Advance Premium Tax Credit. The result could be additional credit owed to you, or you may have to repay any amount already received in advance. Because of either of these results, it is important for taxpayers to include the information from Form 1095-A on their return.

Follow these steps:

• Click on Deductions & Credits under Federal
• Under the menu for Medical, click Start/Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)
• Answer Yes indicating that you have the form to enter
• Complete the information on the next screen to match your form and click continue

But how to get I to the deductions and credit or find add a state? I tried to do it tht way but it didn’t show add a state button

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.
