How do I fix the problem of filing 2018 taxes but turbo n tax summited them as 2019

You cannot file 2018 online - that ended Oct 2019.   Online is only for 2019.     If you submitted a 2019 tax return with 2018 data then with any luck it will reject.   If accepted then you must amend 2019 and submit the correct 2019 data.

TurboTax online and e-file for 2018 ended on Oct 15, 2019. 2018 (and earlier tax years) can now only be completed using the CD/download software installed on a Mac or Windows computer. The return must be printed, signed and mailed.

2016-2018 software can be purchased here:

The problem is not what TurboTax "submitted"---the problem is you used software that is ONLY for 2019 and tried to prepare a 2018 return.  Online is not for any other year--only 2019.  You used the wrong software program and now you have a big problem.

Did you actually e-file it?  Was it accepted or rejected?  If you are lucky it was rejected so that you can clear out the 2018 income and use the account for your 2019 return, or you can just abandon it and never file it.

What is your e-file status?

If you somehow managed to get the return accepted, you will have to wait for it to be fully processed and then amend--a process which will take months.  Do not try to amend while the IRS is still processing it.

Here is how you amend when the time comes:

How do I amend my 2019 TurboTax Online return?

A 1040X cannot be e-filed.  It must be printed and mailed.  It will take about 4 months for the IRS to process an amended return.  It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.

Wait about 3 weeks from mailing and you can check the status of your amended return:

And---how to prepare and file a 2018 return correctly:

Online preparation and e-filing for 2016, 2017 and 2018 is permanently closed.

To file a return for a prior tax year

If you need to prepare a return for 2016, 2017, or 2018 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s)

https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.

Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.

If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline.  If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.
