What do you mean "edit my W-2?"   Did you enter it incorrectly?   You can go back to the income section if you keyed something in wrong and need to fix it.  If you already e-filed, you cannot do anything about it now.  Explain what the problem is so we know how to help.

I'm being told that the payer ID needs to be fixed for the state something about it can't contain hyphens, so I guess I need to fix it before I can finish. How do I that?

Information flows from the federal return to the state return so go back to Federal>Wages and Income if you need to edit the W-2
