Enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R
Delete the duplicate Form 1099-R listed.
TT has had a glitz in their program which tells you that you have duplicate 1099-R forms. I fought this for two days and finally found a fix. Even though there were no duplicates, and everything was entered correctly, TT will tell you that you have duplicate forms, and you will not be able to file electronically until you fix this, here is what I did, I don't know which remedy fixed the problem but I would do all of these things, edit all your 1099-R forms:
1) slightly change the financial institution address, like split the name on the two address lines, then change the zip code last numeral to something different, it will not effect your 1099-R reporting but will look like different 1099-R's.
2) enter a date in box 13
2) enter an account #
3)enter an amount in box 8
4) go to box 16, state distribution & enter the same amount as box 1
5) most important change is to change the dollar amount of your distribution a few cents.
for example, if your distribution was $2500. change it to 2499.85 or $2500.25
THIS WORKED FOR ME, HOPEFULLY IT WILL GET YOU PAST THE "DUPLICATE 1099-R" PAGE
