wheres my return. i think my bank returned it.
If you think that your bank returned your refund (if there was an error in the account number or a mismatch between account number and the owner of the account), then when the IRS gets the refund back, they will issue a check to the taxpayer and mail it to the address on form 1040.

What is the status of the federal tax refund - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
I'm sooo frustrated going on angry. I have the same problem, who do we speak to or is our money just forfeited? Nobody will help, IRS, turbo tax, nor my bank. Is there anyone out there who can actually find out where my money us?
First, have you confirmed with TurboTax that your return was filed and accepted?
If so, then what does the IRS website say about your Refund? Have they 'sent it to your bank' with a date? Or is it 'still processing?'
Then, if the IRS says they have sent your refund to the bank, did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees from your refund?
If so, then an intermediary bank gets your refund from the IRS, takes out the TurboTax fees, then sends the balance on to your bank.
There can be delays at the intermediary bank, and additional ID info, etc. might be required.
If for any reason the second deposit fails (the one that is actually to your bank or card), it will bounce back to SBTPG's bank who will issue you a paper check in the mail.
