In a roundabout way, I came across this link that WORKS!!! The alert link is worthless!
https://portal.idnotify.com/dashboard
Maybe someone in customer service will eventually care enough to get the alert emails corrected.
See screenshots below...
I will make a general recommendation on the dark web. just about everyone's email will be found on the dark web. I found that the password manager called Bitwarden is easy to use and free. The free version was so good I will be paying the annual fee for a few upgrades and because they deserve that charge.
Change all your passwords using bitwarden. Do not reuse passwords. Put all your financial and medical on 2-factor and freeze ur credit. You will significantly lower your risk.
I had to change and enter about 150 passwords so I prioritized the order and spent about 1 month.
It's worth it because now I worry a whole lot less.
I agree that their alert are GENERALLY WORTHLESS without even minimal additional info on the compromised password. If they provided the first and last letters wirh asterisks like P***********7 I could narrow it down. I do reuse the same password on perhaps 4 or 5 unrelated websites, but at last count I have over 225 different logins! The IDNotify alert saying they found my email address or phone number on the dark web (which I receive about once every month or so), followed by recommending that I change passwords on every account related to them is impractical if not impossible! Share enough info to be USEFUL!
I'll look into your suggestion on BITWARDEN and the like, thanks!
That's a very good question no one seems to know. I have the same problem. I'll let you know if I find out.
