How do I allocate properly allocate amounts on Form 1095a to Form 8962 if only 1 out of 5 people on the policy is my dependent.

My ex-husband claims one child, I claim the other but both are on his health insurance policy. I have a copy of their form 1095a but the IRS keeps rejecting it.

You did not specify the reason of IRS rejection. Please review your 1095A entries within TurboTax.

If the rejection persists, you might have to file by mail.

I was told by turbo tax that filing by mail would not fix this problem

With 5 people on the policy, you allocate 20% for each person on your tax return.

For example, if you are filing single with one dependent and you are both on that policy, then you would allocate a total of 40% for you and the dependent you are claiming.
