Are you uploading into TurboTax a CSV file that you have already downloaded the .CSV file onto your computer? Or something else? Please clarify.
At the screen What's the name of the crypto service you used? did you select Crypto.com?
In some cases, you are able to select Other, enter the name of your crypto service in the box Name and select CSV type.
You will need to use TurboTax Premier version or higher to upload a .csv crypto file into TurboTax Online.
In TurboTax Premier Online, follow these directions.
- Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
- At the top of the screen, click Wages & income.
- Click to the right of Investments and Savings.
- Click to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
- At the screen Let's finish pulling in your investment income, select Add investments.
- At the screen, Let's import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
- At the screen OK, let's start with one investment type, select Cryptocurrency. Continue.
- At the screen Select your crypto experience, select Upload it from my computer. Continue.
