A company from which I received 1099-MISC reportable income as a contractor has since gone out of business, so didn't issue me a 1099-MISC form. I've entered the amount received as self-employed income, but can't proceed with filing without their EIN. Any suggestions are appreciated!

You did or did not receive a 1099-MISC form from the company?
Don't list the income on a Form 1099-MISC if you did not receive one. Instead, enter the income as General Income. If you entered a 1099-MISC form under the business (or in Other Common Income), delete it.
Use Forms mode (upper right corner of your program) to locate the form and remove.

i have a 1099 misc with a Tin number b.ut n8 EIN. TTAX will not let me file electronically without EIN
You can enter then TIN and then try to e-file with that.
ttax would not allow e- file with TIN
You can use TIN or EIN interchangeably and they mean the same thing. TIN is basically the same thing as an EIN.
