How can I load new updates to my program?

New updates were available on 01/07/2026 but my program does not update.

The TurboTax online editions are updated automatically when a new software release is issued.

If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions, you should have the updates entered automatically when you start the program software.  If not, then click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen.  Then click on Check for Updates.

When will Turbo 2025 have the tax forms on it to start inputting data?  I have forms and it has updated, but keeps saying tax laws are changing?     thanks

Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.

@ksmil   Do you need to enter a 1099R?  That section should be ready Jan 21.  If you have the Desktop program you need to update it on Jan 21 or later.  They've been putting out more frequent updates this year so keep checking for updates.

It is Jan 21st and nothing updated yet.  I also tried that link, and it shows nothing. how do i get my Soc Sec info in and a 1099 R?

The retirement income section is now available in both TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop.
