The Online version saves as you go, you can stop at anytime.

How can I interrupt this session without losing my information?

BUT...you should work your way out to the main menu if you are in the middle of some form.  Sometimes it won't save exactly to the point you are at, if you are in the middle of a form's entry, and you may have to re-edit that particular form.
