How can I get past the "fix" error for my state school district code when my code is correct from the Treasurer's website?

I looked up my school district code on the Ohio School District Income Tax finder. I've triple checked that the code I entered is correct, but TurboTax keeps making me go back to fix that code. The code I have entered is correct. I can't e-file while the "Fix" error is popping up. How can I clear this error?

You could be having issue with your school district taxes if you are located in a non-taxable district. If the district's income tax rate is 0.00%, it does not need to be filed.

If your school district is listed at a 0% tax rate on The Ohio School District Tax Finder, you do not have to file a school district return and should be removed from your state return.

To remove a school district tax return, please follow these steps:

  1. Open your tax return.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Delete a Form
  4. Scroll down to your state forms and look for the school district form you need to remove and click Delete

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS mode you can Edit the school district, or click Delete Form at the bottom of the page.

In TurboTax Online, try deleting the New York School District Worksheet using the Tax Tools > Tools > Delete a Form.  Then, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and see if this resolves your issue.
