How can I get my identity protection pin number? I have not received it due to address change.

Is the identity pin from it’s the same as last years ? And if not if can’t efile I have to mail do I need pin

The 6 digit IP PIN is changed each year.  You received the IP PIN from the IRS either in December or January.

Even if you mail the tax return you still need to enter the IP PIN on the Form 1040 or the IRS will send the mailed tax return back to you for the PIN.
