How can I determine if my health insurance premium is deductible

Box 1 matches up with YTD on paystub so why can't I deduct my insurance premiums if my box 1 includes pay before insurance premiums are deducted from check?

Only after-tax health insurance premiums paid are deductible under the Medical section. These would premiums you paid on your own, independently from your employer.

If you paid for your health insurance via payroll deductions, these would be pre-tax and not deductible again.
