How can I delete the alimony paid part? I paid zero but it kept asking me to enter the amount. Thank you!

Go back to the Alimony Paid section and on the screen asking if you paid alimony to a former spouse in 2023 click on NO.

To enter, edit or delete alimony paid -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Other Deductions and Credits
On Alimony Paid, click the start or update button

Or enter alimony paid in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to alimony paid

Alimonies for divorces and separations finalized after 2018 are no longer taxable or deductible.

Or, if for some reason you completed the section for the recipient for the Alimony paid...On the screen for the recipient, click on the Trash Can symbol.
