I occasionally sell photos I take. Is there a limit I can make without filling? How and where do I file income? No 1099...most income received as cash or PayPal deposits.

Filing requirement depends on your total income. Hobby income, no matter how much, is added to your taxable income.

If you are required to file a tax return then all income must be reported no matter how small.

Enter in TurboTax by search topics for "hobby income:. It will go on the 1040 form Schedule 1, line 8 "other income".

Enter hobby income in the Less Common Income section of Wages & Income.

Click on the Wages & Income tab
Scroll down to Less Common Income
Select Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
Select Hobby income and expenses

Unlike self-employment income, you do not have to pay self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare) on hobby income. You do have to pay income tax.
