Hey why does my refund say 117 instead of $1,542??.

This is mainly a user community forum.  We don't know what you're looking at.   Is $1542 what is on your Form 1040, Line 35a for your initial expected refund amount?   And what is shown at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool?   Has your refund been approved and sent?    Is that where you are seeing $117?   If so, is there any message there about your refund being adjusted?
