Help me with a dependent being filed twice

my ex-wifes tax guy claimed both dependents for her.  she is suppose to get one and im suppose to get one.  I didn't know this until after the fact that I send my return in by mail.  can you tell me what happens now.  how do I get to claim my dependent?

When 2 people claim the same dependent the IRS will most likely contact both of you to find out who has the right to claim them or one.  Your ex-wife should amend her return if she was not suppose to claim the child.
