which said : include ALL CONNECTICUT INCOME TAX deducted on your federal income tax return EXCEPT that deducted on federal FORM 1040, or federalFORM 1040SR, SCHEDULE A.

No, if your daughter has not deducted Connecticut income tax on her federal return for the year, then nothing should be entered on the income tax adjustment line.
This is true even if your daughter itemizes her deductions on Schedule A as Connecticut states that you should not add back any Connecticut income tax deducted as an itemized deduction on federal Form 1040, or federal Form 1040SR, Schedule A.
Taxpayers enter amounts on the income tax adjustment line if they deducted Connecticut income tax elsewhere on their federal tax return.
Hello,
I am still confuse. She only has one W2, and there is box of federal tax withhold and state tax withhold, does any of this withhold means deducted?
If people has CT tax deducted , which box should indicate that on W2?
Thanks.
Your daughter's Form W-2 information has nothing to do with the Connecticut income tax adjustment you referred to in your initial post. As far as the adjustment issue goes, disregard her W-2.
As LenaH indicates above, your daughter should only enter an amount in the Connecticut income tax adjustment field if she deducted Connecticut income tax anywhere other than on Schedule A on her federal tax return.
If she didn't do this, she doesn't need to worry about the income tax adjustment.
See Line 37: Other in the Form CT-1040 Connecticut Resident Income Tax Return Instructions for more information.
Thank you.
