You can use TurboTax to file previous year's tax returns.  However, you will need to purchase and download the TurboTax program for each year you need to file since each year the tax laws and calculations are a little different. 

Also, the previous years' returns will not be eligible for electronic filing and they must be mailed.

Tax software is updated for the respective tax year. You will have to file each year separately. You report the income and deductions in the years earned or paid. TurboTax Online is live software that is available for tax year 2019 only. For 2018, you will have to purchase the software and download it to a compatible device. Below is a link to purchase 2018:

Prior year returns can no longer be efiled. You will have to submit a paper copy of your return to the IRS. For best results, you should file your returns sequentially, in the event you have any carryovers. The address to mail your return is found below:
