You didn't say whether you are a W2 employee or not, but since most nurses and medical professionals are, I'm going to assume that's the case. As a W2 employee there are no longer any deductions for employee business expenses on a Federal tax return for health professionals. This deduction was removed in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2018 for all but a few very specific occupations. Currently, that law covers up through the 2025 tax year so for at least the next three years, unless Congress acts to change or extend it, there would not be any Federal deductions. Here is a great TurboTax article that summarizes the situation.
Some states do still allow this deduction on the state return. If you're a resident of one of those states, you could claim the deduction when you file your taxes.
