Has anyone heard any news from the feds about extending the deadline to pay taxes past April 15 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic?

The 90 day deferment is only being talked about just now. It is not official, if it ever will be.

Be aware that in past crises, the IRS has never extended the deadline to pay, even if they extend the deadline to file. Your taxes are “pay as you go” and you should have been paid up through your W-2 withholdings, or in your quarterly payments which were last due January 15.  Maybe this time will be different, but nothing has been announced yet.
