While there won't be any more third-round stimulus checks distributed, parents of a child or children born in 2021 – or parents and guardians who added a new child to their family in 2021 – can still receive money by claiming it on their tax return.
The IRS will send a notice of adjustment to you and at that time you can verify the birth of the baby then you should receive the payment.

So they have to verify the birth for the EIP but not the child tax credit? I'm not understanding why they took away the 1400 for the recovery rebate but didn't take away the money for the child tax credit for the same child.
IRS is the only entity that can address this issue. TurboTax is not involved with processing your tax return for a refund. IRS does not share the status of your return issues with TurboTax because of Privacy Laws.
IRS will send a notification in a few weeks. You will be able to address the issue with them at that time.
EIP and Child Tax Credits have different guidelines. EIP is a Corona Economic Payment. This is totally separate from Income taxes.
