I haven't figured out how to make the IL return "print" for mailing. It is not included in an attempt to print returns for mailing. Not just the IL-1065-V won't print... the entire Illinois partnership return won't print for filing.
They will not let you print any of the Illinois return! (It's not just the "print returns for mailing" step that won't let you print the IL forms. The regular print function won't let you print the Illinois forms.)
Same Exact Issue. I picked IL-1065 and it's Schedule B to print and file via mail. And, I got the IL-1065-V from the Illinois.gov. Those were the only forms I needed to submit. It's a workaround but they really need to fix it.
Yes! I keep being told that the form is there but when I try to file my return it tells me it is not
Please keep checking. The date of the release for forms is an estimated date. If you attempt to access a form and it is still not ready, that could mean the IRS has not finished finalizing it yet for e-filing. Thank you for being patient with this process.
@AnonymousThis is not correct. You cannot e-file an IL-1065 (State of Illinois), so the IRS (or in this case the IDOR - Illinois Department of Revenue) is not finalizing it for e-filing. The only way to file an IL -1065 is by mail.
The paper form IL-1065-V has been finalized by IDOR since December 2020. It is quite simply the most basic simple form possible. It is just a one page voucher form that states your company name, address, FEIN and tax payment amount.
This is a software error. Someone at turbotax checked a box that said the IL-1065-V had been uploaded into the program, but it wasn't uploaded. Turbotax representatives think it's been uploaded, which is why when you call they say it's already available or when you submit a request to be notified when it's available you get an almost instantaneous email from turbotax saying its now available.
The IRS is not finalizing anything. This is an Illinois form, which was finalized in December 2020 and can only be mailed in not e-filed.
1065s and K1s are due March 15th. Fix it.
Having same issue as everyone else in this conversation thread in regard to IL-1065-V. Even tried reinstalling Turbo Tax business (both federal & state) to no avail.
As noted by others, even if that form isn't working in TurboTax, it should at least allow the printing of all the other forms. That would allow distribution of data to other partners as well as providing the option of manually completing the IL-1065-V from from the IL Dept of Revenue website.
May have wasted $50 on state download if have to complete all the forms manually on the IL Department of Revenue website.
Only two problems with this reply:
1 - The problem we have been discussing is with an Illinois form, not a Federal form;
2 - We have received emails from TurboTax saying that the updated form is available.
Please, TurboTax, fix or delete this form so that we can get on with finishing our Illinois returns. If you can't get it fixed I believe a refund of the $50 paid for the state program would be in order. We have been discussing this problem for over a week and nothing has been solved! I have not been able to find a way to send an email to TurboTax to complain about the problem.
(Everything said by customer-users on here on Saturday is correct, this issue appears to be TurboTax's problem, and no one else's.)
LASTLY, this return is due for filing March 15th, not April 15th, so I would sure like it to get solved on the correct timetable.
Although form IL-1065-V issues are preventing the completion/filing of the IL return, can still file the federal 1065 form (due 15 Mar). When I e-filed the federal return, TurboTax did generate both the federal K-1 and IL K-1-P forms needed for distribution to members/partners for them to complete their personal income tax.
Seems like fixing the IL-1065-V form should be a relatively simple matter for TurboTax, but although the federal form is due by 15 Mar, the IL form isn't due until 15 Apr, so still have a little time to wait. Since IL forms need to be filed by mail anyway, another (very cumbersome) work around would be to select VIEW - Forms from the menu, individually select each of the IL tax forms (except IL-1065-V) shown on the left, then use the Print button displayed at the bottom of each form displayed. Could then download the IL-1065-V form from the IL Department of Revenue site and copy the information from IL-1065-V form displayed (but not printable) in TurboTax.
I am experiencing the same problem.
Now, everyone move up/down this entire thread and give a "thumbs up" to each customer comment, without giving a "thumbs up" to the TurboTax employee responses, and don't mark their answers as "This Solved My Problem"...
This is how problems get noticed by the Intuit/TurboTax team for solving: Growing Activity, Commiseration in a problem, and no "Solved" status...
This is wrong and we actually need a fix. We cannot print IL returns because TurboTax shows this form is not released. The form has been released for months and we don’t even need it as IL does not allow electronic filing anyway. If TurboTax would listen and delete the form so we could print, this would not be escalating. Someone needs to simply listen!
Yes, we can e-file Federal returns now. We cannot even print IL State documents so we cannot file state. There is a workaround by printing each form manually but it is silly. TT needs to fix their problem and it IS their problem.
Same problem as everyone else. Customer support is useless in that you wait 30 minutes and they tell you to update the software which does nothing. I am not sure it will ever get resolved
Does anyone now if Intuit is actually working on this issue?
