my entire return was lost when my hard drive crashed.  I have gone to a firm to recover the files, but that will take about two weeks.  What should I send to IRS so I am not penalized/

Nothing.  That is not an excuse to be late.   If you are due a refund then there is no penalty for filing late (other than you don't get your refund until you file and you have 3 years from the April 18 due date to do that)..  If you owe, then any tax due should have been paid by April 18.    Just file ASAP and the IRS will bill you for late penalties if any.
