Anybody get. reference code 9001?

Guess everyone else having issues calling em and estimated wait time is between 15 and 30 minutes

Ok so.if you get the code you will get a letter but could take up til March 5th to get and yes she did the verification questions of mothers maiden name fathers name etc

They said the same bull wait your 21 days

so I spoke with someone this morning and they inform me they really can’t see until after your 21 days if you getting a letter my federal return is still processing So what that being said some agents are telling us anything to get us off the phone and she verified my taxes from last year my mother maiden name and my father name etc as well . Yesterday I was told something totally different and this lady took her time and was nice told me 1541 is the verification reference code you’ll get if a letter is sent out

Everybody situation might not be the same we all just have to be patient and wait to see what happens next

Just spoke to the IRS after verifying on monday! He said it’s now in processing and has the reversal code to remove the hold from the 9001 code

Code 9001.... called this morning,  did not tell me a damn useful word.. besides the fact that I will be receiving a letter.

They never due first time.i called the guy only said wait 21 days

It seems like the majority of the 9001's are identity verification. There are numerous in the group on Facebook.

Not as bad as when you call and have to verify yourself and they say ok thank you for verifying its you then say you have to wait for the letter to call or go online and verify its you.like.wtf did you just do? So that's not good enough

Yep, that's what happened this morning to me, they asked tons of questions

It is,they say we were "hand picked" but almost everyone who filed early got the  code

I just got off the phone with them with the 1541 code and had to verify myself and they said to wait 45 days  (Aprill 11th) for my refund.  I'm not going to stress myself anymore
