Go back and add a w2

Started the  my return and need to add a W2, how do I do that?

If you have Not filed the 2023 tax return -

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Wages & Income

If you HAVE e-filed your return, you need to wait to see if your return has been accepted (this happens within hours of filing). If your return was rejected, then you can reopen your return and make change (see above) as if you had no filed.

If your return was accepted, then you will have to amend your return. You will have to wait until form 1040X is ready in TurboTax, which could be as soon as this week. See Form Availability page.

When that happens, look at "How do I amend my federal tax return for this year?". This page should be updated shortly after the 1040X is released.
