Hello,

I'm going back to work this summer. My husband is the bread winner and I'm not sure about my deductions. Can you help me? We file joint tax returns.

I recommend using the W4 calculator. If you answer all the questions to he best of your ability, it will generate an updated W4 for each spouse that you can provide to your employers.

As you approach the end of the year, you can also use TaxCaster to estimate your full year tax liability, and whether you are going to get a refund or may owe. Based on the result, you can decide whether you want to top up your withholdings by making an additional estimated tax payment.
