Using TurboTax Deluxe for 2020. Am getting the message "government still working on forms" for 1099-R and Schedule D. Am current on program updates. What can I do?

IF you are using the Desktop Windows software.,,,those have been ready for many weeks now.  (it's just the COVID parts that aren't final)

    1)  Run the software update from the menu at the top of your screen, and check  again.

    ...still get that notice?

    2)  Shut down the software, then download and install the Manual Update  (use the Edge browser to download it):

    3) after the manual update executes and completes...start up the software run the internal update again.

Still a problem?  Call TTX support...they may need you to uninstall it and reinstall an entirely new installation file, on that is fully up-to-date.  They would have to provide that file to you if they can't figure out the problem separately.

Note: 2020 TTX will not run properly on Windows 7...if that's your OS..

Thanks SteamTrain! I had previously tried the Manual Update using Firefox, but it didn't work. Since you specified Edge (why?) I went that route and problem solved.

A couple of us have tried Chrome, and it wouldn't download ...Edge worked as it should in any browser.

(actually we could...but had to use a special procedure that was stupid...and shouldn't be required   TTX needs to get their act together in addition to updating the manual update file to the actual current version)
