Turbotax shows a tax credit higher than when I fill out form 8962 manually.

I'm not sure that is correct.  You can see the actual number on your tax return

    From the left sidebar

    1. Select Tax tools
    • You may have to minimize both the Federal and State options by clicking the Down Arrows on the Sidebar.
    • You will then clearly see Tax Tools
    • Click the arrow to up to see additional options
    1. Click Tools
    2. A Menu will pop up
    3. Select View tax summary
    4. On the left panel click Preview my 1040

Once in your tax return you can

    • Scroll down until you get to Schedule 3
    • Form 8962 is posted to line 9
    • This plus other credits is carried to line 31 of your tax return Form 1040
    • You can compare this number to the 8962

    Some Key numbers to compare:

    • 11 Adjusted Gross Income
    • 12 Deductions
    • 15 Taxable income
    • 16 Tax
    • 19 Child Tax Credit
    • 26 Earned Income Tax Credit
    • 28 Additional Child Tax Credit
    • 33 Total Payments
    • 34 Overpayment
    • 35a Refund
    • 37 Amount you owe

Thanks for the information. I was able to see Form 1040 and  Schedule 3, line 9 which shows the total credit but I'm still not able to access the actual form 8962 to see how the overall credit was calculated. That is what I need to see to compare it with the manual form 8962 form that I completed to see where the discrepancy is. Any additional advice would be appreciated.

In order to see form 8962 in TurboTax online you will first need to go all the way to the end of the TurboTax process and pay for the software.  Then - BEFORE YOU FILE THE RETURN - TurboTax will let you print the return to a pdf and you can review all of the forms as they will be submitted.  If there are any changes that need to be made then you can still go back into the return and make them before you file.
