I rent out a room in my house.
I noticed that in the required tax documents that Turbotax Premier generated for the Georgia tax return it does not include the Schedule E with the federal 1040 tax return, just the 1040 schedule 1.
Is that correct?

Yes, that is typical. The state returns normally just start with the federal adjusted gross income!
It may be correct if the property was rented at less than fair market value. In that case the rent income is considered personal income as opposed to rental income and if so the schedule E is not included in your return. The rental income would appear as ordinary income and appear on Schedule 1.
It was rented at FMV. Is this a problem with TurboTax not including the Schedule E with the Georgia Return?
And it did create a Schedule E for the federal return, but the federal return that is included with the Georgia return only has the Schedule 1 which does include the rental income on line 5. Just wondering if the schedule E should of been included with the Georgia return.
I just talked with a live turbo tax expert and she said that the 1040 Schedule E is not required and is not included with the Georgia tax return.
Yes, that is typical. The state returns normally just start with the federal adjusted gross income!
