When will form 8283 be available for electronic filers?

Form 8283 is currently available and ready to e-file. However, due to IRS changes, if you have non-cash donations appraised for $5,000 or more, then you will need to mail in your tax return with an acknowledgement from the donee attached.

i have no totals for any one goodwill item donation over $500 or any individual item over $5000. yet it says i have to print. same donations as last year. has form 8283 been updated in turbo tax. it won't let me efile.

Yes, there have been changes in reporting charitable donations on Form 8283. You may want to delete/re-enter your donations. If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, and clear your Cache and Cookies after deleting and before re-entering.

Not true with the online version. It still says software isn’t ready try again tomorrow. This is dumb. Don’t offer and charge for a service and then fail to deliver. It should have told me prior to paying that it was incomplete and not any to file prior to me paying so I could have chosen to go somewhere that could get the job done. Taxes stressed many for various reasons, no reason to cause additional trauma for no reason but greed. Shame on turbo tax
