Fostering pets and volunteering
I volunteer at a animal clinic, and have been fostering kittens for them. Is all of that tax deductible? Including the gas from driving to and from the clinic, and providing for the kittens (the food, litter, and bedding all come out of my own pocket)?
If so, what do I need, and where do I input it all?

Fostering pets and volunteering
If the animal clinic is a registered 501c3 charity, you can deduct your mileage and out of pocket expenses as a charitable contribution on your Schedule A Itemized Deductions. You will only gain a tax benefit if the total of all your itemized deductions exceeds your standard deduction.
You need to keep good records of your out of pocket expenses, such as an extemporaneous diary,
