My 17 year old daughter received pandemic unemployment and a 1099-G to reflect that. I claim her on my taxes, and she paid 10% in fed tax on that UC. TT is asking for For 8615, which I understand, but it wants my dividend or business income which I do not have. If I change it from $0 to $1 on the form, it goes through.

Yes, Form 8615 will be processed as is if you submit your return now, since you made this entry.

However, you should enter the actual amount since the computation of tax is based on what you enter.

If you don't have the actual amount now, you should wait until you have that information before filing your return.

Thanks, but I do not have any investment income, long=term gains or farm/business income that it's asking me to input...

If you do not have any particular type of income, leave it blank. If you have too much trouble continuing, delete it and start over.

Here's the general procedure for viewing the forms list and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

    1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
    2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
    3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
    4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
