Form 8283 Error

Has the issue regarding the Form 8283 populating been resolved? Or is there a work around. It appears that this year, unlike previous years the form is not auto generating. The system allowed me to pay and e-file with no errors only for it to be rejected. The site indicated that I needed to wait until today (1/31/2026) to resubmit, yet the form still is not populating.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Looks like it's been fixed now.

But go back thru your item donations again.

Once the 8283 has been generated, you may find that some charities that don't have an address entered yet...they need to have an address input before everything gets posted properly.   The address fields show up if you edit one or more of the "items" you entered for each charity involved.

A bunch of folks have the same problem...it's being looked at by at lest one TTX rep.

But with ItsDeductible gone, it appears TTX has done a major rewrite of this section, and messed it up badly.

Thus, check every Friday after the normal weekly update to see if it's fixed.

BUT

I suspect it may take 2 or 3.........?? more weeks for them to get it properly operational....but that's just me wildly guessing.

i.e. major screwup
