Form 709 is, basically, used to report transfers subject to the federal gift and GST tax while TurboTax is designed for federal and state income tax preparation (the former has nothing to do with the latter).

For that matter, TurboTax does not support Form 706.

For the same reason not all tax forms are supported for individual and business returns and only a few local tax forms are available. Few users vs the cost of programming, maintaining, supporting and earning a profit on those services.

Quite true and this board is already replete with complaints from users who have to pay an additional fee to file their state return using one of the online products.
