Seems to me that the calculations of energy credits are wrong. On line 24 and 29, the program is reducing the amount you enter before you apply the 30% and then the 30% gets applied on the next line. Has anyone else found that the calculations are wrong and grossly underestimating the energy credit in Section B?

Are you saying that the number that you enter for the costs of your furnace or heat pump is not what is entered on lines 24 a or 29a of the actual Form 5695? If so, I would like to take a closer look at this by reviewing a diagnostic copy of your tax data file. This would be the first step to get the situation corrected by the TurboTax developers.
The diagnostic file will not contain personally identifiable information, only numbers related to your tax forms. If you would like to provide us with the diagnostic file, follow the instructions below and post the token number along with which version of TurboTax you are using and what states you are filing in a follow-up thread.
Use these steps if you are using TurboTax Online:
If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, use these steps:
Yes. That is what I was saying.
I sent the diagnostic file.

After taking a closer look at your return, there is an amount that is calculated incorrectly. The issue has been reported to the development team for correction.
