In order for us to further troubleshoot this issue, you can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions for TurboTax Desktop for Mac users:
In the alternative, you could also choose to simply print out Form 568, write the EIN on it and mail it to the Franchise Tax Board.
I am also elevating the issue for further review, including whether the FTB would actually receive the EIN from the metadata in your file even if it doesn't display on Form 568.
@MonikaK1 I am not able to post token here - website removes it. Please let me know how else I can submit it. maybe you can message me directly here? thank you
.
I received your data file. We will respond as soon as we have an answer.
@MonikaK1 thank you. I’ll wait to hear from you.
@MonikaK1 @We’re you able to figure it out? I was hoping to file soon.
thanks
@MonikaK1 Would you please update me on the status? Thanks
@MonikaK1 Is there any update on this?
Or should I be e-filing the way TurboTax generates 568 - without the EIN?
it has already been over a week delay in my process, I’d like to please file early this week as I’m on vacation later. but if this is an issue with no EIN on 568 - just let me know so that I can switch to a different product and redo the taxes
Thanks
The issue was referred to technicians. They are looking at it, but I was just informed that any software update would only occur after the 16th. However, the EIN is in the metadata (it can be seen, it just doesn't consistently display on the print copy), and TurboTax will transfer the information with the e-file. You can file the return as is.
