Form 1116

I received the Email telling me that form 1116 was now available (3/4/2022). I updated my delux Turbo tax program, and it did not contain form 1116. How do I get form 1116 ?

Using the TurboTax desktop editions - Click on Forms.  In Forms mode click on Open Form.  Type in 1116, highlight the result and open the form.

To enter Foreign taxes paid -

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Deductions and Credits
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
• On Foreign Taxes, click on the start or update button

Or enter foreign taxes in the Search box located in the upper right of the online program screen. Click on Jump to foreign taxes

I don't have a problem entering my foreign tax and foreign income amounts. I have a problem with Turbo Tax telling me "Turbo tax doesn't support e-filing" for form 1116. They have in past years but now I can't e-file. Great progress guys.

First I was told form 1116 wasn't available. Then I was advised that it was now available and it would be included in the next automatic update. It was, but then I was told Turbo tax doesn't support e-filing for form 1116.

Please, somebody, tell me why form 1116 can't be e*filed when it has been e-fileable for at least the prior ten years.

Form 1116, Foreign Tax Credit is available

Form 1116, Foreign Tax Credit for AMT is available

Form 1116 Schedule B, Foreign Tax Carryover Reconciliation Schedule will be available in TurboTax for printing on 03/10/2022 and for e-filing on 03/11/2022
