Form 1116 shows an incorrect error on line 33

The message is that line 33 should be blank, and it is but line 35 is not.  Overriding line 35 to blank it out fixes the incorrect error but you can't file the return that way.

It appears you did not complete the Foreign taxes paid section of your return correctly. Please review the steps

To enter foreign taxes paid, please follow these steps:
 

1. Click on Federal Taxes > Deductions & Credits I'll choose what I work on].
2. In the Search Click on "Foreign tax credit" and then "Jump to foreign tax credit"
3. Click Continue
4. On the next page, you will see "Tell us about your Foreign Taxes"
5. Enter the information requested on the preceding screens.

Once completed your Form 1116 should populate correctly.
