I have used the TurboTax desktop version since its inception in 1984.
This is the first year I'm using the online version.
So far the experience has been painful.
I currently have two TurboTax Premier Online issues:
1. Form 1116 is not filling out correctly.
2. My Foreign Tax Carryover Reconciliation Schedule does not have my carryover information from past years.
Regarding #1, I've uploaded or transferred my three 1099-DIV forms into the system that report my foreign taxes I've paid. The foreign tax information is correctly displayed in all 3 DIV's. But when I go to enter income sources associated with the taxes only 2 of the 3 DIV's display. How can I get my third DIV to be recognized by the online software so I can select it?
Regarding #2, my desktop copy of last year's tax return shows all my past carryover amounts going back 6 years and I had uploaded it to TurboTax to start the 2024 tax process. But this year's online return only shows this year's carryover calculation. It appears the online version of TurboTax did not transfer over my results from my 2023 tax return. How can I get this corrected?
