Form 1099g Certain Government Payments Box 1 Reemployment assistance income

Hi, I am trying to enter information on other income form 1099-G (Florida Reemployment assistance) When I click on Other 1099-g Income (using turbotax Home and Business 2020) none of the options show BOX 1. REEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE so I can report this amount properly. Please someone advise how to enter information on form 1099-G Certain Goverment Payments "State of FLorida" Box 1. Reemployment Assistance.

The State of Florida says, "Florida’s unemployment insurance program is called Reemployment Assistance."

So treat your reemployment as if it were unemployment.

Make sense?

Sure Thing. Thanks!

Form 1099g Certain Government Payments Box 1 Reemployment assistance income

Hi I’m sorry I don’t understand, when filling in the box 1 info do you fill it in as a taxable grant or in another form altogether? As I understand it, the options available to fill in are business refund, RTAA payments, taxable grants, agriculture payments, and/or market gains on CCC loans.

Any advice or explanation is appreciated, thanks!

Some states have renamed Unemployment assistance to Reemployment assistance.

Please enter this 1099-G in the Unemployment section under Wages & Income, not as a Grant.

Employers pay reemployment tax, but I think you are the employee who received it.
