form 1099-DIV from Schwab

I have a blank in the Amount column in box 1a for Ordinary dividends, but there is an amount in Total column.( which is the same as the number in 1b in the Amount column)

That total is the same as the Amount column for Qualified dividends.

If there is no amount in the Amount column  in box1a ( only in the total column) why do I need to fill in the quantity in box 1a on my Turbo Tax? The qualified dividend is not an ordinary dividend?

The IRS description for box 1a, "total ordinary dividends," is somewhat misleading. Box 1a is the total amount of dividends, including both qualified dividends and dividends that are not qualified. Box 1b, "qualified dividends," is the portion of the box 1a amount that is qualified. Since box 1a includes box 1b, you cannot have an amount in box 1b and nothing in box 1a.
