Hello,
I'm trying to file my taxes using the desktop TurboTax, but keep getting hung up on one issue. For a sell to cover situation, I have a sale of 3 shares. I keep getting an error that "2 of 3 shares have been accounted for. Need information for 1.000 shares." It is asking for information to be entered into line 25 Column B. What I have in column b is 5 shares were vested for the grant. 3 shares were withheld for sell to cover, so I put that in column g. Why do I keep getting this error? Is there a way to get around this?
I did not have any other issues with any of the other sales.

I have the same issue exactly (sell-to-cover situation, "need information for 1 more share" no issue with any other entries, etc), have been trying to find solution for weeks and no luck. I have originally let TT import the entry from E-Trade and got the error, but have since input it manually with the same result. I have re-checked everything I have been able to and am certain that I am inputting the information correctly and thought that I was able to file regardless, but now the software will not allow me to submit without correcting the "error."
SOLUTION:
Click "Forms" in the top right, find the Emp Stock Wks with the red exclamation mark next to it to open the problem worksheet. Make sure that Line 25g entry matches Line 27b (for me line 27b was missing that 1 share). Right-click on the entry for Line 27b and select "override" from the drop-down. This will allow you to correct the number of shares there and update the rest of the worksheet. This solved the problem for me and allowed to e-file.
It is clear that this is a software math calculation issue of some sort. Intuit support nowhere to be found, figured this out on my own after hours of clicking around and comparing other worksheets and math.
