Hi, I am working on my daughter's tax return and noticed that after I entered the data from form 1095-A, her refund amount was less. Is this because of the benefit listed on the form? Thanks in advance.

When she filled out the health insurance application,

  •  She needed to estimate her expected income.
  •  If this is too low, your premium reduction will be too high, and
  • She will have to pay it back.

  • Marketplace premiums are based on your expected household income for the upcoming.
  • See TurboTax article 5 Steps to Navigate the Health Care Marketplaces
  • Income is counted for everyone you claim as a tax dependent on your federal tax return.
  • You have to include their income, even if they don’t need health coverage.

You can use the phone number by state at The Health Insurance Marketplace.

The list is halfway down ‌the page.
