Form 1041

I was saddened to discover I can't file a 1041 with TurboTax Business on Mac.  Why is that?  

And since I can't, which program would you recommend to be able to file a 1041?

There are some users who use a Windows emulator like Parallels in order to use TurboTax Business on a Mac, and we have heard from users who purchase relatively less expensive Windows laptops, etc. in order to use TurboTax Business.   But, sorry, TurboTax Business cannot be used on a Mac unless you adapt in some way.   You will need to find another software program if you cannot use TT Business.

Thank you for your quick response.  However, my questions were why can't a 1041 be done on Mac and what other software would you recommend?

And I have another one.  If I do use a Windows compatible program on the Mac, would I have to purchase TT Business for PC or would the Mac program run OK using the emulator?

TurboTax Business is ONLY written for Windows.   There is no Mac version of TurboTax Business.   Thus the adaptive measures mentioned already.   We cannot recommend other software programs.   Perhaps you should seek local paid tax help.
